Another Great Week and Month


New PR on total time and total yardage for week. Even had a 9,000 yd week in the pool! Man I feel good, just need to drop some of this darn fat!

I start a recovery week tomorrow and am looking forward to it! One strength training session- 1 hour, 3 bike sessions for a total of 2.5 hours, 3300 yds swimming, 45 minutes treadmill and a 6 mile hike up Waterton Canyon. Should be about 7-8 hours.

Two more weeks till I go to IM Arizona to watch friends race and hang with the best peeps - Tri-bloggers! Yay!

New PR, Poop, and Package Abuse


Okay, not a PR in a race but a PR for my workouts! Holy moly! I'm very happy about this!

Now about the "package abuse". My package is sore as I have been riding the stationary at the gym, as my bike is now making crunching noises (not good!) and I need to get it looked at. Well the "package" has been sore and irritated since I started going there. And the hard plastic seat is killing my butt, even in bike shorts and sweats. But I digress. I was wondering what was up with the irritation and then I noticed the seat design. Must have been a moron or sadist who designed it! Check out this photo:

Today


Well I suppose I shouldn't expect a great bike workout after having done legs with Jess first. That's what I get for not getting my butt out of bed this morning and having to double up my workouts. 4 sets leg presses, 3 sets squats, 3 sets leg extensions, 3 sets of leg curls. Then 1 hour on the bike followed by 25 minutes on the treadmill. I was just wanting to finish, busting my butt didn't happen! Argh! Bad Duane, bad! LOL

Hope I dont get in trouble with my coach!

Pete had me scheduled for 1850 yds in the pool today. I swam tonight and after a pretty rough week at work, I had a lot of stress to burn off. So I added 1x150; 5x200; then ended with 1,000 yd set for a total of 4,000 yds. Just had to do it! Time was 2:15. Yay! (I think!)
