Becca's Trip To China

Becca just got back from China from a 10-day mission trip with her church. She was the only teen to go and raised the money herself. I am very proud of her! She had a fantastic time and had some life changing times. She took 1110 photos but here are just a few to share with you all. She watched the Para Olymplics, met lots of people, and did some shopping (I just don't get the Coach purse thing LOL).

Back Again

Today at lunch I walked up a 7-level parking garage. My hip didn't hurt and my leg was only slightly tender! Not a huge thing, but it's good to be moving again! As my kids would say - "Peace out!"

Glenwood Race Report

Kelly and I headed to Glenwood Springs early Saturday afternoon, hit packet pick-up, then went and played our traditional putt-putt golf game. And yes, Kelly beat me.
Here she is in Glenwood Canyon, can't believe how fast she has grown!

After that we headed to Carrie's and we got to meet her parents and twin sister and brother in-law (and a bunch of kids!) It was E's birthday, she is so cute!

Sunday morning we headed to Glenwood Pool and my relay wave went off at 8:10. I was really pumped for a PR but it was not to be. I swam 26:44 (including the run to T1) which was 41 seconds slower than last year. Don't know what happened. Swam as hard as I could, felt good about it while I was swimming, but no go But! I am happy I can swim that far so all is good.

Ran into T1 and tagged Carrie's dad John, who then headed out on the bike. Then Carries took over for the run (E got to run in with her!)

Big thanks to Carrie and family for great hospitality and for racing with me.
Now it's on to serious rehab and weight loss and training for next season!

Wow, what a short season!

Off to Glenwood!

Tomorrow morning Kelly and I head to Glenwood Springs for my only race of the year, a relay with Stronger and her dad! It should be a lot of fun. I swam 30,000 yds in
August (17 miles) so I am shooting for a PR. Since I won't need to worry about the bike or run, I can push it in the pool (825 meters).

Hope you all have a great weekend!
