Intense weekend! 3 hour bike and one hour walk on Saturday, then 8 mile hike in Waterton Canyon on Sunday. Total for week was 11:26 (missed a one hour treadmill session due to bad chicken, enough said!).
Go you! I know how hard it is to do endurance training and lose weight (well, I guess I DON'T know since I keep putting it ON, but you know what I mean).
Everyone thinks the weight will just fall off, but it is really hard. I am so impressed and inspired. Congrats on your amazing progress!
I've been trolling the Tri blogs lately and found yours. Wow what an inspiring journey you're on. I read some of your older posts, you have already come so far. I have a friend training for the AZ Ironman. So hardcore!
Hey dude, a couple of things. Not sure how I "surfed" into your site but a couple of things. I did IMAZ last year in the April version. I learned you have to "take it easy and dont forget to enjoy and embrace the day".
Also, a guy following my blog who lives in Louisiana is down from 400 or so to mid 250s. He goes by "Tri ing Fat Man" "Slim down 220, story of a triathlete" if you want to connect to his site for some more moral support.
Last word: If AZ doesn't work out, chalk it up to experience (I DNFd my first). You might consider signing up for IMFL on line on Nov. 8 also for 2010. It is probably an easier course.
